Rylan McKinley

Rylan is the Co-Founder of StigmaZero and oversees Marketing and Sales activities as its’ global Head of Growth. Over his 15+ years of sales and marketing experience, Rylan has built and lead high-growth sales teams and most recently founded a successful digital marketing agency.

Through his experiences in the corporate world, Rylan understands the importance of ending the stigma still surrounding mental illness in the workplace. Rylan believes that companies have the responsibility to offer safe and inclusive work environments for all their employees. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it will lead to a stronger company culture and increased productivity that directly impacts the bottom line. A true Win-Win.

Jason Finucan

Mental health advocate, stigma fighter, professional speaker and founder of StigmaZero, Jason is also the instructor of the Create Your StigmaZero Workplace online training program.

As someone who has experienced both a major physical illness (heart defect leading to open heart surgery in 1988) and a major mental illness (bipolar disorder leading to hospitalization in 2005), Jason shares his personal experiences with impactful storytelling techniques. These moving stories can be found as part of our academy programs, through his inspirational keynotes, and in his book Jason: 1, Stigma: 0 – My battle with mental illness at home and in the workplace.

Jason aims to make this difficult topic accessible and consumable, so he blends his stories with rigorous research in order to mobilize knowledge and perspective. His goal is for everyone to understand this important topic so they are empowered to make a real change and ultimately join in the effort to realize his vision for a future without stigma.

John Mills

John has worked in the Human Capital Management space for over 20 years. He has helped organizations across North America and globally with their employee engagement strategies, with a focus on building programs to show appreciation, recognition and ultimately improve the employee experience. Through this work, he has witnessed first-hand how employee wellness and mental health greatly affect the culture of an organization. In addition, he has seen how managers and peers can play a pivotal role in understanding their colleagues’ mental health through their actions and inactions.

John is so excited by – and deeply impressed with – the training that StigmaZero has developed. He believes it’s a must have for all organizations to help their employees and their mental health management, and is confident that a healthy and supported employee will help a company thrive.

Our vision is to work towards a future without stigma, and our mission is to help employers eliminate stigma in the workplace.

Our Approach

We believe that, in order to change how mental illness is viewed and understood, we must approach this complex topic in an accessible manner. This includes making mental illness relatable through personal stories and backing up our facts and statistics with rigorous research.

We know that people learn in different ways, and so our innovative Create Your StigmaZero Workplace online training program was built using the best practices in online learning to ensure the highest possible levels of engagement.
